Millcroft Inn & Spa

About this stay
Millcroft's draw is the building itself: exposed beams and stone walls from the original 1881 woolen mill, with the West Credit River running past the property instead of merely near it. Days settle into a rhythm of two pools and a hot tub before or after a spa treatment, with the fitness centre and restaurant covering what a wellness weekend needs without leaving the grounds. Alton's short main street, including the Alton Mill Arts Centre and Ray's 3rd Generation restaurant, is a nine-minute walk away, so a change of scenery doesn't require a car. Dogs are welcome, which is not the default at a spa property this size. Rooms mix historic mill character with country-style furnishings, and the pace favours travellers who want the spa and the water to be the whole point of the stay, not a side activity.
