Parkview Cottages Resort

About this stay
The Dunsford Nature Trail is the whole point of staying at Parkview: it is six minutes away by taxi, close enough for a morning hike before breakfast without losing half the day to driving. The cabins themselves lean simple and self-contained, better suited to a couple or small group wanting quiet forest mornings than a resort crowd. Evenings settle fast once the sun drops behind the trees, and the property does not compete on amenities the way the golf-and-spa resorts elsewhere in Kawartha Lakes do. It works because it commits to one thing, trail access, rather than trying to be a lakefront resort it is not. The roughly hour-and-forty-seven-minute run to the airport means this is a stay built around the trail itself, not a convenient overnight stop.
