Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale
372-room Meadowvale hotel on Mississauga Road with an indoor waterslide, indoor and seasonal outdoor pools

About this stay
The waterslide is the reason families pick this hotel. Riders must be at least 48 inches (122 cm) tall, a requirement set under Ontario's TSSA rules, so younger children stay in the heated indoor pool and the hot tub while older ones queue for the slide. The outdoor pool adds a second option during the short Ontario summer. It is billed as one of the area's longest indoor waterslides, and day passes to the pools are also sold to non-guests through ResortPass, so the deck can be busier than hotel occupancy alone suggests.
The hotel dates from 1981 and stands among office buildings. Its listings mention no airport shuttle, so Pearson, about 17 minutes away, means a taxi or your own car. Meadowvale GO station on the Milton line is roughly a 24-minute walk; its trains run mainly at weekday rush hours, with GO buses outside those times. Streetsville's Queen Street, about 3 km away, is the nearest walkable stretch of restaurants. Dogs and cats are accepted, two per room at most.

Our take
Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale is a 15-floor, 372-room hotel at 6750 Mississauga Road whose draw is its pool deck: an indoor pool with a waterslide and hot tub, plus an outdoor pool open in summer. It scores 8.1 across 740 reviews. The catch is location. The hotel sits in the Meadowvale Business Park, the office side of a largely residential district in west Mississauga, about a 17-minute drive from Pearson, and downtown Toronto is a highway trip rather than a train ride. I would book it for a winter weekend with children who want to swim, or a meeting near the 401; I would not book it to explore Toronto.
- ✓Riders on the slide must be at least 48 inches (122 cm) tall; younger children are limited to the pool and hot tub.
- ✓Meadowvale GO, roughly a 24-minute walk, and Streetsville GO, a few minutes' drive, are on the Milton line, whose trains run mainly at weekday rush hours, into Union in the morning and back in the afternoon; GO buses cover the rest of the day.
- ✓Streetsville's Queen Street, about 3 km away, has the nearest walkable strip of restaurants and shops; the hotel grounds themselves border office parks.
Why we love it
- Indoor waterslide for riders 48 inches (122 cm) and taller
- Heated indoor pool and hot tub, plus a seasonal outdoor pool
- Quest Restaurant & Bar on site for breakfast, lunch and dinner
- Dogs and cats accepted, up to two per room
Why guests love itFor a family, this Hilton is about the water. The indoor pool with its slide and hot tub carries a cold January weekend, and the outdoor pool adds a second option in summer. Children under 48 inches (122 cm) cannot ride the slide. Quest Restaurant and Bar on site saves a drive at dinner after a long swim. Getting around is the weak point. The nearest train, Meadowvale GO, is roughly a 24-minute walk, and Milton line trains run mainly at weekday rush hours, with GO buses outside those times, so a Saturday at the CN Tower is simpler by car. Parking is on site and uncovered. Beyond the offices of the business park there is little within an easy walk. I would choose it with school-age swimmers and a car, not with a teenager who wants downtown Toronto by train.
