Our take
I would book SOHO Residences Lisgar for a self-catered city break in downtown Ottawa rather than for full hotel service. The apartments are smoke-free and air-conditioned, the kitchens are fully equipped, and free WiFi is included, which suits longer stays, couples and small groups. Expect a quiet apartment-style stay; the seasonal pool and the pet-friendly policy are the extras that set it apart.
- ✓Make the most of the full kitchen to prepare your own meals and save on dining out.
- ✓If traveling with a pet, confirm the specific pet policy and any associated fees beforehand.
- ✓Plan your visit during warmer months to fully enjoy the seasonal outdoor pool and city views.
