Our take
Anchor Inn Hotel and Suites scores 8.2 from 277 reviews in Twillingate, where the choice of hotels is limited. Its strengths are concrete: family rooms with sea views, a refrigerator and coffee machine in every room, and a restaurant and bar on site. I would choose it as a simple, comfortable base for exploring the coast, rather than for resort facilities it does not claim to have.
- ✓Opt for a sea-view room to fully appreciate the coastal setting and enjoy the best vistas.
- ✓Take advantage of the on-site restaurant and bar for convenient dining after a day of sightseeing.
- ✓Use the free WiFi to plan your excursions around Twillingate and stay connected with home.

Why guests love itSea-view family rooms are the reason I would look at the Anchor Inn Hotel and Suites in Twillingate, a small outport town on Newfoundland's north coast. Each room has a refrigerator and a coffee machine, which helps with snacks and early starts, and air-conditioning and private bathrooms come as standard. The on-site restaurant and bar save a search for dinner after a day outdoors, and free WiFi runs throughout the property for anyone who needs to stay connected.
